Another mth past w/o updating… busy mi.. *hurhur*

On Fri the 13th went out with the HIghpers for dinner.. We had Pasta @ Pasta de Waraku located at Square2. Its been quite some time since we met each other but we din took any grp photos. After dinner, we went to U.d.d.e.r.s Ice cream for ICE CREAM!!! Been there for the 1st time. A wide variety of flavours from liqueur to asian-inspired to cosmopolitan… so much for you to choose… There is also a few games in the shop to kill time such as taboo, a monopoly-like detective game and etc… Cosy place with nice staffs and yummy ice creams made our day…

Mama went Viet with Aunt & Sis.. Bought back Mangoes & Avocado which are as big as my palm.. Woo..

End of my balloon making session after 1 mth located @ Orchard Hotel… kinda miss the kids crowd and also not forgetting my partner, Patricia, who had taught mi to twist quite a number of designs…

Late Posting.. 31st May 2008 Dinner @ Vittles recommanded by King of Thrift 2 by Channel 8. Went with Kenny, Xinying & Mr Oo as its been a long since we’ve met. It was still full when we reached there abt 9+. Must be the show which bring in the crowd. After we’ve taken our orders, we helped ourselves with free freshly POP popcorns.

Service 6/10
There alot of people still waiting for their food as at 1 time only able to fix 8 paxs meal. Thus the waiting time will be long. With the staffs busy doing service of the soups & appitizers, they remembered to top up the popcorn to the machine for it to pop & stuff the people who are hungry-ly watiting for their mains. Consider quite a gd service with them not charging any and there’s no GST too.. All net net net..

Food 7/10
To me, mushroom soup is consider quite basic and it can’t be not nice unless you keep on adding water to the soup. The nachos are freshly baked/fried which is actually quite nice but juz a little soft not so much much crunch in it. The fish is actually quite nice with a layer of pamesan on the top. The beef is a little tough which is nt my liking. I like the sides too.. I had gratinated potato and mixed veggies. I liked the potato as its soft with a top layer of cheese. But for the veggies, i think they had cooked too long which made them a little soggy, i had taste better ones.

No other peeps sitting with us as there is a booking in the later slots so only 2 of us attended by the chef. hee~ All the dishes will be cooked in front of us except the garlic rice will be cooked by other chefs.. Another thing is lucky we sat at the sides, else we’ll get oily when the chef is cooking..

The trend here is to wear Bib to prevent your clothings get dirty.

Service 8/10
The service was fast due to the crowd coming in during the late evening.. After eating the appetisers, the cooked food are ready to be served. After finishing a dish, the server will clear away the plates so that it won’t look messy. Green tea is being replenish when the drink is half the cup. After dinner, they brought us to another area away from the heat to enjoy our complimentry desserts.

Food 7/10
The appetisers are quiet okay, not too much to fill your stomach while waiting for the food. The food is slightly salty which usually occurs in teppanyaki.. But overall, its quite alright. The steaks were nicely medium cooked as per ordered, tender & juicy..  A plate of complimentry veg (bean sprouts) given so can dun order veg. Complimentry dessert given which we chose green tea ice cream & mango pudding which was nice..

My Sundays - Food
1st
Went Msia with JY & Mr Oo for petrol & lunch. Had KFC which i think its better than eating in S’pore. Comparing the price & taste. Both Mr Oo & I prefer the cheesey wedges than fries and the coleslaw are cut into bigger chunks too. Original flavour is also bigger. lol~

2nd
Being invited to JY’s plc for dinner cum food tasting. Wanton Mee + Dumplings.. Cooking done by her Daddy.. All took part in giving her the nasty comments for improvments, cuz there are too many stalls selling similar food.. So to survive in the food industries, you have to work hard & improve the quality of the food serve to the customers.

Was sick for almost 2 wks which means the 3rd day of  CNY i’m sick. Firstly down with flu, then sore throat to cough to having phlegm and it all came together. I even had voice changed. I’m still having the cough but its getting better. Had 1&1/2 day MC cuz the 1st day i went back to office to finish my work b4 i go off.

Went NTU & met up with YS for lunch (on my MC day) Had Unagi with Rice for $3.50 @ Canteen A if i did not rem wrongly. Quite worth the $$ cuz its in campus so cheap la.. After makan, saw some stalls near the canteen so go see see. Onli one caught our eyes cuz its some korean culture thingy. Pick a Qns & Ans then u’ll get a prize when u ans correctly & lucky pick some ping pong balls. The top prize was actually Bae Yong Jun’s face engraved glass plaque and i was asking YS why they wanna give it as a prize? May some of his fans will wan it bah. Then saw the poster ‘Photo taking for $2′ in Korean Costume. A lady stepped up to us & ask if we r interested. I ask if it cost $2 per photo or for one time trial of the costume then she replied this timing no cost. So happily me went to try. Wasn’t so difficult to put on but i think this was a simple version of it. Started to take pixs with my Hp cuz no photographer. lol~ Then the lady asked YS to try & he did but korean costumes really made one look fat. Opps..

Katsu-karē + Miso soup

Cooked a meal @ Mr Oo’s place. Its been almost 1/2 yr since i cooked. As Sundays i had to attend class thus dun really have the energy to do cooking. Had bought the curry ’sauce’ 2wks back & actually wanna cook but juz pure lazy. Yesterday i finally did it. With the help from Grace + her mummy, i manage to get the right part of the pork *hurhur* and the procedure thru here. Actually not difficult & can be fixed in 2 hrs. Here it is. *tatara*

Another holiday.. A celebration which me & my colleagues will be worry about. Every yr at least sth may go wrong on this day of celebration at my work place. Its either residents burnt the bin down @ the bin chute or had a incident of resident had his room burnt. *Headache* Hopefully nth will go wrong this time.. *worried*

Yesterday Mr Oo celebrated my Birthday in very early advance for me. Took leave for the day. Went to had set lunch @ North Border Bar & Grill located at 2 Rochester.  So happy cuz i’ve been wanting to go there. Then to KTV & follow by he brought me to sit the cable car (which i din even thought that he will bring me) lol~ Initally he wanted to had dinner in there but the lunch made us feel so full even we ate early & i feel that its so ex lor.. Was a pleasent evening sitting in the car but its a little warm in there that’s all.. After reaching back to Mount Faber, the place starts to spray out soap forms snow. So both of us took a X’mas pic in advance.. ha~

By the way, my wish-list is up. *smile*
