Yesterday was the last day of the Lunar 7th Month.. So fast its been a mth since it started(which too show how long was my last post)  7th month can consider as the ‘noisest’ mth of the yr as there will be shouting of sales, company praying dinner & etc.. Which this movie i had watched with my parents - ‘881′ aka papaya in mandarin, show how Singaporean ’celebrate’ it . Its been a long time since we had movie together which i can’t rem which show was it too.. 

歌台-Ge Tai.. Performances only on the ‘Hungry Ghost’ month.. In the past the only performances was Opera shows. I remember when i was much younger, i wanted to perform at Ge Tai cuz it seems so cool to me. Its juz singing on stage which looks simple to me. But after the show, it actually needed more than what i think. This movie show the true life story of the Ge Tai performers. Though there is a mixture of languages in the movie but there’s subtitle so can watch.

As Gracey won the free tixs from Nuffnang, i chop grab the chance to go since they are freeeee… Saw lots of bloggers attending the event..some were from the bar. And some were well-known by the media.

Overall the show was funny which it suppose to be. Else there won’t be a part 3. After the show, everyone part to their own party. That include Gracey & Me.. As we drove out of Vivo, the parking fees was $4.00++ & i was like ‘Wah!’ But since its holiday, no choice for that. Went Marina Square to meet up with JY, Jolin & Mr Oo for KTV session. KBox was having this ‘Wear Red’ promotion. If you had anything red, they will charge you $4.20++ for 2 Hrs.. So all of us started showing the Manager over @ the counter whatever red stuffs we had.

Gracey had red top, Mr Oo almost show his red & white brief (ha~) then to the last resort…. I pulled out the flag which was given in the previous event & the Manager was like ‘Wah! use the flag, u win already..’ Though 2Hrs wasn’t long enough but we enjoyed ourselves. As the carpark @ Marina Square was full, i had to park @ Millenium Walk. To my horror, the fee was $6.50 for the short 3hrs plus minus of waiting time. A lesson to take note is to ride bike(not all places charge) or take public transport on holiday cuz the parking fees are sooo expensive… Lucky this is onli once in awhile that i drive. After that we headed down to the coffeeshop near Boat Quay for Dinner where we able to see the Fireworks from NDP.. Followed by they went to Safra for drinks where i head home as i had to work on the following 2 days. *Exhausted*

Went Cineleisure to watch ‘alone’ with Mr Oo.. The story wasn’t that scary but juz tt the sound was so loud that u’ll get scared. Mayb if u’re twin also dun watch it bah.. The ending was a little diff as the main actress was actually the imposer. Guess this is why i dun really like to watch ‘horror’ / ‘ghostly’ movie.. I do have a wide range of imaginations. So i actually tend to scare myself. Poor Mr Oo had his arm squeeze by me.. hee~ So try not to ask mi out for these shows on the ’special’ month (which is coming soon) I may end up a scary cat scaring myself..

Last Sat went to celebrate Xinying’s bday. Sort of gave her a surprise when Kenny brought her to meet up with us. Had Dinner @ Takaya Bristro (Upper Thomson Branch). Saw it in one of the bloggers, Natsu’s blog writting how yummy the food was. So went down to taste them..

ambience: 7/10
Its located along with the other shops, lucky their signboard was big enough to see.. Entered the restaurant and the background was playing japanese songs. Its a small shop with not more than 20 tables i think (din really count) It was quite quiet till more peeps came in later in the evening. All had made their reservations. Mayb the next time i’ll go the branch at Chinatown to give it a comparison..

food: 7.5/10
The sashimi fresh. The tempura was a little crispy (comes with Mayonnaises) than the usual ones with only a thin layer of crisp. The cold soba was diff as it was serve ready in the sauce. The tofu was nice. Overall the food was nice other than the hot sake wasn’t that nice - tasteless with no alcohol in it.

service: 8/10
Their service was prompt & the waitress helped us in ordering the food ( like which dish is more popular, hw much we need to order & etc..) The topping up of green tea was efficient cuz the cup was a little smaller than the ones in Sakae Sushi or Sushi Tei. Overall not bad..

Last Tuesday on my way home, i asked Mr Oo if he’s interested to watch Harry Potter with me. He agreed & we headed to Vivo to buy the tickets. This is the 2nd time watching movies at Vivo. To me, the cinemas were grand but not the seats.. They were so uncomfortable, so back hurting which Mr Oo agreed with me too.. The ones @ PS (Plaza Sing) & Great World were better.

Went to watch Vacancy with Mr Oo @ GV Grand yesterday. As his work goin to make him very busy for the next few days, he hope to spend some time with me. Watching movies on wkdays especially for a so-so movie, there wasn’t many peeps in the cinema. About 8 couples were watching & what’s ’best’ was the seats given by the counter crew. He had placed us seated in between of the other 2 couples each at our side. Knowing that there is so little many peeps watching with us and we buying the tickets so last min, he should noe where to place us. Lucky the couple beside me moved one seat away. *Thank you* okie, come straight to the movie. The plot really scared me at certain part of the scene and i keep worried about Kate when she was hidden up at the ceiling. At the process of her husband,Luke, was being killed, she cried & sound was made which nearly gave her out. What can be better was the ending. Leaving it untouch & as if it will have a part II which i dun think so as all the killers have been killed.

One of my ex-colleagues had free tix so asked me along to watch.. Hilarious show that u can go catch it, which can make ur day. I liked the part when the translator assist in translating for both A-ryong (Shu Qi) and Gi-chul (Lee Beom Soo aka the so-called boss on mission), giving each of them the opposite information which she supposed to relate to them. And the part where they run away from the assassin by car down the stairs so stupid..

The full 2 hrs makes me feels as if i’m part of the cast in it. This show can consider one of the gd show i’ve seens so far for these 2 mths.

Woke up damm early to board the 7am bus as there is a need to register, need to reach at 630am for that. Got my dad to drive both Mr Oo & me to the destination. Its good to take the earliest trip cuz by the time you reached Genting will be noon time. The whole trip up there took abt 7 hrs with 2 toilet stops. 1st stop was to had our breakfast @ Yong Peng (the usual place that almost all the coaches will bring us there.) Another will be at a petrol kiosk & no stop will be made till we reached Genting. Luckily for us there were 2 check-in point @ First World Hotel. When the bus reached Genting, we are able to be the 1st fews to check as the bus terminal was super near.. Nth can be as good as getting a good room. As per what we requested, we had a queen size bed with view room @ the 22nd floor. As soon as we reached the room, we unpacked our stuffs & off to lunch cuz we are sooo hungry.. Had lunch @ MarryBrown, KFC is too common.. After tt, we went to buy movie tickets as its the opening date for ‘Pirates of the Caribbean - At World’s End’. Its good that we were there early to book cuz it was full house thar night. Initially we wanna get the OSIM iMedic seat, for those who’s been to Genting should know. @ abt 17Rm which is very worth it.. good movie with gd massage.. But it seems to near to the screen so we give it a miss..

This time round the plot seems to be a little long-winded.. The actions seems so little only till nearly the end of the show then its more interesting.

Woke up early for breakfast(the food looks okie but the ham & sausage bit salty) Initially wanna go to the Temple down the hillside but they do not have the early bus slot of the morning so we went to the Outdoor Theme Park to spend the morning there. As we were too early for the opening of ticket sales, we went for coffee. 10am the start of sales, the enterance was damn crowded. Managed to get in the queue despite of the tourists which went in groups.. Almost every rides have to wait.. the longest we waited was 45mins & i must say i’ve the patient.. lol~ After spending 4hrs at the Theme Park, we proceed to Highlands Hotel for the bus.. But to my dissapointment, no other ‘tourist’ going and we can’t get a group of 4 to go (They need a grp of 4 to share the transport) We went to ‘Ripley’s Beileve It or Not!’ some of them r shown on AXN before but seeing them personally is different. About late night we went to the Casino.. 1st time going in there by ourselves & buying the chips there.. actually you can learn alot juz by standing there seeing the peeps gamble.. Some really damn lucky while others chipped in on others’ card to win the game. We juz played a game or two then back to our room for rest. *yawn*

Last day of the trip.. Seems that a 3days 2nights not enough.. Again another bus ride back to Sin.. Sitting in the bus for so long makes me sick.. So much for the writings.. When will my next leave trip coming? below are some of the photos..

The funniest part was when the 2 went for their 1st pairs’ figure skating, the song was ‘ dun wanna miss a things’ and they way they performed was damn funny cuz they are the 1st male pair in this competition which usually is a male & a female.. Go catch it but may not on a wkend..

I can’t remember if i’ve watched 28 Days Later but 28 Weeks Later definitely scared me.. With the bloody scene & how they kill those humans still alive & kicking.. But the story line seems a little short to me.. Mayb there’s another 28 Months Later coming..

This time round the story line seems a little draggy.. Its good that the 1st few scenes they helped us to recall what’s happening during Part 1 & Part 2. Part 3 is more like how he overcome himself & the hate from his best friend. The fight between the 4 gives a little tension to the show with M.J hanging up there..

Wan a good laugh, head for this show.. from the start to almost the end of the show its still funny.. Do go catch it if you haven..

Was having my off day yesterday & Mr Oo was on MC, so we went for a movie ‘ 200 Pounds Beauty ‘ Its a funny & touching show.. had cried… till my eyes became red which makes me kinda hate & love watching love shows.. Aww… Go watch it..

So i’m giving….

 After the movie, we met Kenny & gf for dinner at Geylang.. We had porridge… Not only they sell frog porridge, seafood too.. Heard from my sis that they way they cooked is nice so go have a try.. Oh ya, did i mention they had it sold in a way like buy 2 get 1 free for $16 ? They also had 3+2+porridge=$22 and 4+3+porridge=$30. I don’t know the few other shops selling.. This shop is not in the crowded geylang lorong.. Though there are quite a few shops selling but i’ve never been to any other than this..

service: 6.5/10
The svc is fast but some of the lady staffs attitude not very good. Eg. If you only order frog porridge not seafood, they will look at you in a weird way. Though they have seafood, but peeps mostly go there for the frogs.
food: 7.5/10
Indeed the meat is tender and the sauce is nice. It seems that the total of 7 frogs with 3 bowls of porridge per person is not enough .. 1 pot of porridge = 6 small bowls. Do go try it to compare with the other shops if you’ve tried.
